Hello, my name is Mariska and since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to become a tour guide. After finishing High School I studied tourism at Breda University of Applied sciences. With passion I worked as a tour guide in South America. For many years I have been a tour leader on coach tours through Europe for Cosmos (GLOBUS family of brands). After welcoming my two sons I have been working as a local guide and tour leader in Amsterdam and its beautiful region. This is were I was raised. As your private guide I share my love for sightseeing and history in a tailored tour for lifetime memories.

VISIT TO WINDMILL VILLAGE ZAANSE SCHANS
Amsterdam is surrounded by the typical polder landscape with its famous windmills. During a half-day excursion to the village of Zaanse Schans you will visit a working windmill and discover the magic behind it. The Zaanse Schans is a typical Dutch village where you can really feel the Dutch history and nature. Of course you will find out how our world famous cheese is made and learn all about our wooden shoes.
